Our local busineses are getting creative during these covid times, lets show local some love by hitting up your favourite local watering hole for breakfast or trying a new spot to get your brunch on.
Insights: Instagram worthy hot spot, there is typically a wait however the line moves quite quickly. They also do catering & events.
“Rise & Dine” Owned by chef Dawn Doucette who was on Top Chef Canada Season 4 ! This hidden gem was formally the Corner Cafe, which has been transformed to a bright and chic diner, great spot for brunch or a burger and shake.

Don’t let the long lines steer you away, this rustic-chic brunch spot is the “it” place in town and isn’t to be missed. Located in Queensbury since 2015, this popular brunch spot is a local favourite. Chef Erik Smith has mastered dishes that combines comfort with elegance, i.e. egg benedict’s served on bread pudding, making you want to come back every weekend. Bonus, there’s local beers on tap on weekends.

Insights: Keep an eye on these guys, they have pop up wine events and are going to be starting a “Wine at Winstons” wine bar on weekends starting October 9, 2020.
What was previously Table 15 , has been taken over by Winstons, a cafe and brunch spot who is starting to dabble into the wine scene, they have an event next week with Summerhill Pyramid Winery Thursday October 8th visit their website for details. Back to their brunch, a trendy space with 2 floors of dining allowing lots of space between tables ( great for covid distancing but we were thinking also great for elbow room) Hours 8am-3pm daily.

Located in Lower Lonsdale, this all-day breakfast joint is the place to go for fresh pastries or classic high-quality brunch dishes. Run by Jane Copeland, who has worked at a three-Michelin-star restaurant in Spain, brings a sophisticated touch to each of her dishes. Using only the finest ingredients prepared daily, she combines flavours in a way that elevates each classic brunch dish.

We are all no stranger to the North Shores first brewery, Bridge Brewing, but have you been to their new Lonsdale Ave location yet ? They have a full kitchen and a killer menu for breakfast lunch and dinner (big fan of their burgers)
Their breakfast menu includes everything from a classic bridge beer to creative beerceasars beermosas and breakfast menu consisting of everything form smoked salmon bagels to sour dough french toast.
A youthful and hip coffee shop with an energetic vibe. Nemesis Dope Bakehouse, located within Lonsdale Quay, offers some of the best coffee in town and beautiful pastries that aren’t to be missed. Take one to go or grab a number (placed on CD covers) and sit at one of their tables. It gets quite busy, so be prepared to wait or sit outside.

The perfect spot to grab a bite before heading up the mountain, Honey’s offers classic breakfast dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. Because of its popularity for doughnuts though, make sure to come with ample time as this place is always lined up.
